Venturing into hard drives and backups
TL;DR: Make three backups, and never just have one set of data while working on it. Google kept bothering me about the amount of free space I have left for storage between mail, photos and drive. I decided finally, in late May of 2023, to do something about it. Get all the photos from Google Photos taken by my phone-at-the-time from 2013 - present. Copy them to my yellow WD 4TB external hard drive backup. Copy the folder of all photos (I worked on this folder, getting everything sorted by year for all photos from all cameras) from my yellow WD 4TB external hard drive backup to my white WD 4TB external hard drive backup. Mistake incoming! I need to copy the photos folder. My photos folder is almost 2TB in size. What are my choices? I can't move it to my SSD on the computer, which holds 1TB when empty, and it of course is not empty.
