Hard drive Epilogue
Happily, everything has been backed up and things are going well. I can work on organization and make sure this doesn't happen for other pictures in the future. The annoying thing is the price of the Firecuda. Looks like if I had waited 16 hours, the price for the drive would have dropped for drives being sold by Amazon proper, about $40 less than what I paid the day before. Annoyingly, it looks like they no longer do any price correction, and my credit card only does price protection for items that have been damaged or stolen. However, spending the extra $40 meant that by Sunday morning, everything was finished and I could enjoy the rest of the weekend. That's at least worth something. Maybe not $40, but certainly more than $0. During evenings this week, and for a little while during the weekend, I'll be getting everything organized. I assume it will take a long time, many weeks, really. Probably shouldn't have put this off for... 20 years. Something something plant ...
