A slow down in posting

Recently, I've noticed that I'm just answering the daily review questions and little else. I think I'll keep up with the weekly and quarterly reviews, but if I don't have a picture to go with the day, perhaps I don't need to post that day. I haven't found the daily productivity emails terribly useful, so it's difficult to get excited to write about them. I know I have a few pictures to put on the blog, and perhaps I'll take Saturday off and combine the weekly review with my picture (or two).

Looking forward to the weekend, and a bit of a sleep in!

What gave me energy today? Solving an interesting set of issues with the Software Development Manager What tasks or interactions drained my energy? Nothing in particular. What changes can I make for tomorrow? Tomorrow, I am not working, so I should not think about work. I got what I needed done for the week. I didn't get to Ozar or MS Learn today because I was in meetings or solving issues. Better luck next time, I guess!

Less Than Wednesday

What gave me energy today? Great conversations with a friend. What tasks or interactions drained my energy? Two meetings that dragged on. What was my biggest win? Getting SQL Server patches on faster than expected, which meant I didn't have to stay late. What did I struggle with? Stopping to do PT since I was in meetings most of the day, disappointingly. What changes can I make for tomorrow? Tomorrow evening, I want to stop watching YouTube at 7:30 so I can get back to piano and PT. Tomorrow, I'll write about the on-going productivity emails - I've been lax on that, mostly reading, shrugging, and moving on.

Great Piano Day

What gave me energy today? Piano, actually. I wasn't watching the clock and really enjoyed my time. What tasks or interactions drained my energy? Finding out a set of my files were moved without permission, because someone in the company felt like it. I hope to rectify that, because my scripts are looking for that location for those files. What was my biggest win? Getting the piano pieces more proficient with the right hand. If this continues for the week I could consider these pieces done. What did I struggle with? Having to listen to noisy people in an office. What changes can I make for tomorrow? Tomorrow, I want to hit PT hard since I'll be at home. Tomorrow's schedule: It seems I have a date with SQL Server for some patches. It'll be a romantic time.

Quiet Monday

What gave me energy today? Watching the Brent Ozar course. It was eye opening and helpful. What tasks or interactions drained my energy? I had only one meeting. It seemed to drain nearly all my energy. What was my biggest win? Not wasting the day, but it was close. The afternoon seemed to zoom by! What did I struggle with? Finishing up correspondence with others. I still have a handful of emails and texts to respond to. What changes can I make for tomorrow? Tomorrow has to be an easy day with low expectations on my part, because I dislike noisy offices. Tomorrow's schedule: I know it'll be a push to get myself energetic enough to do PT, but maybe I'll still be irritated enough to want to get through my exercises.
