End of Surge 1, Revealing Surge 2
I'd say surge 1 was successful. I got past the point in one month of what I tried with piano all last year. While I didn't play as long as I expected per day, I can play all of the songs I like from Alfred's Adult Learner 1 and all except 1 song perfectly in Alfred's Adult Learner 2. Now it's time to put piano on a more maintenance schedule and head to surge 2. And with the weather starting to turn toward milder temperatures, I'll go for a more physically demanding choice: running. Specifically, running 1 mile without stopping. I've been successful with this in years prior but often needed to stop training for a myriad of reasons. This time, I'm hopeful that by putting this one early in the year means it might be easier to keep endurance up when schedules don't align on occasion during summer months with travel.
